Peachy Green

Weekend before last, a few of my friends and I had the pleasure of throwing a baby shower for our darling pregnant friend Sarah!! The shower ended up being so much fun! I think everyone had a great time! 🙂

Sarah is having a little girl, but we didn’t want to go straight for pink as our color theme, so we went a little off the beaten path with a coraly peach + green theme! It ended up being SUPER easy! There is so much cute stuff that fits into this color theme!

First off, we got a pin board going so we could begin gathering inspiration for fun peach + green ideas!

That proved to be super helpful because everyone (even the out-of-town hostesses) could all get on the same page as far as the look we were going for!

Everyone did an incredible job with their parts of pulling the shower together, and it ended up being a smashing success!

Fruit and cheese in corals/peaches and greens is super easy!

So is icing. On cupcakes and on the most adorable custom cookies you’ve ever seen in your life!

We even had a pretty green lime punch made with Sprite, lime sherbet, and juice! But unfortunately, I didn’t get a good picture of it… 😦 It was SUPER tasty, too… I may or may not have had like 6 glasses…

Decorating with flowers and making garland to go along with our color story were also easy to execute!

We’re so excited for our beautiful friend Sarah and can’t wait to meet her sweet baby girl in just a few short weeks!

Baby Elephants

I recently had the pleasure of helping personalize a baby shower for a very sweet mama to be in the Jackson area! The hostesses went with a yellow and green elephant theme since the gender of the baby is a secret! I think elephants are SO cute, and yellow and green are two of my favorite colors, so when I saw the invitation I was all in!

Fresh Ink did a great job on this little beauty!!

My task was to create some little yellow and green elephant shaped cards for shower attendees to write guesses about the baby’s weight, gender… all that good stuff! I was able to take the shape of the elephant on the invitation, program my nifty little cutter to make them the size they wanted, and heeeeere they are!

Since I already had the shape programmed in, and had a sheet of each color paper left over, I decided to size the elephant down to about a half an inch and made some fun confetti to go along with the order! I love how it turned out!!! 🙂

Long story short: I had a blast with this project! Custom projects are so much fun because they’re always a challenge to create something brand new, or add a cool twist to something I’ve created in the past! I really do have such fun taking a client’s idea, adding my spin to it, and creating something new and beautiful (even if it is just something as simple as elephant cut outs!) 🙂

A Lovely B

I completed a fun project late last week that I really would love to start doing more of!

A friend of mine getting married in several months ordered some cards with her new last initial on them to send as thank you cards!

I can do any letter, and can use almost any font (although some fonts are definitely better for this sort of design than others) and, of course, the letters are all hand painted according to your color and pattern specifications!

This bride wanted to stay in the gold/ivory/green family, which I LOVE!

Not only are these great to order for your own personal use, but they also make fantastic gifts!! Later this week, I’ll post more about the 21 boxes of hostess gifts that are ready to be delivered to another sweet and adorable bride friend of mine! 🙂
