My Four Fall Faves at Blithe and Vine!

Since I’m the [relatively] new social media girl at the lovely women’s boutique Blithe and Vine (located in Fondren Corner!), I got to be included on the fun assignment of all the B&V girls picking their four fall faves at the store!

Four Fall Faves at @ Blithe and Vine

The task was easy because I pretty much love every single thing that owner Liz Spratlin orders for the store, but hard because in choosing only four items, it was near impossible to narrow things down!

These four beauties ended up being my four faves, though!

I mean… How awesome are these items?! I particularly love those fingerless gloves… AND, they come in three colors!

While we’re on the topic of Blithe and Vine (and pretty clothes…), I’ll share a few more of my favorite images that have been shared via Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter as of late! I swear, Liz can do no wrong in picking things out…

Fashinspiration Marathon, Part III :: Bullseye

Today is the final lap of our fashinspiration marathon! I’ve actually had a lot of fun with this… I hope you have too!! It’s always fun to see what Elish throws together… She’s seriously got such a talent!

Ok here is numba three…

BULLSEYE

Elish says, “The designer collaborations with Target are a highlight of any trip I make to my local red and white hot spot. No matter what item I’m there for, I immediately beeline to the left straight for the women’s clothing section.”

“I saw this shirt but, being the occasionally mildly responsible person I am, decided to wait a while before purchasing. Lo and behold, a few weeks later I returned and found my size on sale! Meant to be, obviously.”

Fashion Friday With Friends : Double Dare | On Duty

Yesterday, my local fashion icon Elish and I had the bright idea to take some pictures together since our outfits were so complimentary of one another’s, color wise! We’ve had the idea to use the construction site at The Township as the setting for a fashinsipration shoot, but were never able to make it happen until yesterday when we worked up the courage to go over there and just do it.

Since the site isΒ barricaded, we felt ratherΒ adventurous sneaking in for a few photos!

ON DUTY

Fashion can be eye-catching, ostentatious, even border line ridiculous. But sometimes a girl’s gotta face facts: your clothes have to keep up with you. So here’s a casual, funcitonal look that lets me be a girl on the go!

aaaand my thoughts on this look:

DOUBLE DARE

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that fashion has to be a little daring. Even though my look this time isn’t particularly daring, we did dare each other and push each other’s limits a little on this shoot, which was super fun. (Evidence is in a certain photo towards the bottom…)

My look is neutral, easy, and comfortable. Because when you’re going on installs and lugging around heavy bags of accessories all day like we do in the ID biz, stylish comfort is key!

Here is evidence of the two of us stepping outside our comfort zone and utilizing some of the “props” that the site provided for us: Construction workers!

We had so much fun working together in this capacity (and with the lovely Jaclyn Petty, who was behind the camera!) that we plan to do more of these pair ups!! (But don’t worry, I’ll continue to bring you Fashinsipration looks with just Elish on the reg!)

We’ve already started brainstorming on more shoots that involve both of us… Stay tuned! πŸ™‚

And HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Fashinspiration Collaboration with Blithe and Vine, Part 1

Ok fashion lovers… I have a real treat for you today involving Fashinspiration
And this is only the first of three springy treats to come in the next week or so! YAY!

Blithe & Vine + The Lovely Bee Collaboration

Blithe and Vine is one gorgeous shop!!

Elish and I are so excited to have had the opportunity to collaborate with our sweet friend Liz Spratlin, owner of the beautiful women’s apparel shop Blithe and Vine in Fondren! Elish and I were both super flattered when Liz approached us with the idea of teaming up because we are both crazy about her personal style! She’s one awesome woman!

We ended up with three gorgeous, inspiring, and very different looks! The first of the three looks is called… drumroll please

Miroslava Duma recently made a pretty powerful statement: “Donna Karan once said that if it takes more than 20 minutes to get ready you have some problems with your appearance. I totally agree. I can’t understand women who open their huge wardrobes and say, β€˜I have nothing to wear.’ “

The Lovely Bee + Blithe and Vine Collaborate

This pairing is a perfect example of the above mindset. The pieces were the first things I tried on and the first look we shot for Blithe and Vine. No one piece outshines the other, but together they compliment each other beautifully! All basics,(my favorites), these pieces just WORK.

Amaze mint skinnies against these gorgeous Rosegold heels were a no brainer. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better…we added some stunning pieces from Kelly Wearstler’s jewelry collection. Check out the earrings!

I love Elish’s take on casual chic in this look. The mint jeans add a subtle touch of color, but the sweatshirt with neon flecks really does the trick. And these versatile heels will work with jeans and dresses and shorts…you name it. Here’s to a neutral shoe with some kick!

I love every component of this gorgeous casual look! The next two looks are completely different and equally as amazing (if not moreso!) so stay tuned!!

Y’all be sure to give Blithe and Vine a like on Facebook or a follow on Twitter or Instagram! I can nearly guarantee you’ll love every single picture Liz posts…

Until next time… πŸ™‚
