Stray at Home 2014

Stray at Home 2014 is in the works!!! I could not be more excited!!!

Why? Because last year’s was awesome, and this year’s is going to be even more awesome! AND, The Lovely Bee will have a booth this year!! WOO HOO!

The date is May 10th (which is the day before Mother’s Day, so it’ll be a perfect opportunity to finish up shopping for your mama!)

I had such a blast and learned so much getting prepared for my very first show, On A L.A.R.K., so I know prepping for Stray will be just as much fun!

Last year, I was on the planning committee for Stray at Home (which, by the way, has nothing to do with homeless puppies and kitties! The name is an encouragement to stray in your own neighborhood and discover art/food/music that you might not otherwise ever see!), so I got some fun pictures from 2013’s goings on. Take a look! This year’s will be in the same location, downtown at Smith Park!

The Bird and The Bee

Well, y’all heard me talk about it for long enough!!

“The Bird,” a.k.a. On a L.A.R.K., was Saturday and I’m here to tell y’all HOW MUCH FUN it was! I, “The Bee,” seriously had a blast!

It was my first show with The Lovely Bee, so the deadline and the excitement served as great motivators to get things done and in order. It’s a good feeling to have gotten so many things tended to that I’ve been putting off for so long now!

THANKS to everyone who was able to come out! I loved getting to visit with everyone who stopped by! Here’s a quick pictoral recap for y’all, just for fun!

Some of the new items that were shown for the very first time ever are the magnets (shown on the black “The Lovely Bee” board on the white card stand in the pics!), the Happy Birthday cards (above), the Merry & Bright cards (also shown in one of the previous pics!), and various new hand painted stationery designs. I’ll be updating the etsy store this week with most of these new items! 🙂

On A LARK is HERE!

Hey friends!

Just a quick reminder that the inaugural On A L.A.R.K. holiday show is tomorrow! 🙂 I’ll have a booth set up with all my goodies (many of which are brand spankin’ new!) so I hope you’ll be able to stop by! 🙂 I’ll have my square with me, so I can take cards as well as cash and check!

I know I sound like a broken record talking about how On a L.A.R.K. has got me working really hard to get some inventory produced, but it’s true! I’ve had a great time staying busy getting these babies all ready for the big show on December 7!

Since I’m such a big Christmas fanatic, I’ve especially enjoyed getting Christmas cards made. And each of these is stamped with my new Merry Christmas (written in my own handwriting!) stamp that you may remember seeing in this post! 🙂 Here’s a little preview of some of the holiday goods that I’ll have at my LARK booth….

On A L.A.R.K. Craft Show!!!

I’ve booked my first show!!! I’m SO EXCITED!!

I’ve never been in a craft show before, but on December 7th, that will all change!

Some of my mom’s friends have put together the local craft show called On A L.A.R.K. (which stands for local artisans’ remarkable kisoks…), which I’m sure will be a lot of fun!

The lineup of artistans is pretty awesome… Lots of people I know, plus a bunch of people I don’t know at all! Not only will there be fabulous items like my cards and Helen’s shorts, but it’ll be cool, gourmet food, some beautiful art, and much more!

I’ve got a lot of work to do getting together some display stuff and some inventory, but I’m very excited!!! I hope some of you will have the time to stop by and check things out!
