Spring Fashion With Arco Avenue ( Part 1 ) SECOND SKIN: TAKE ME HOME

Happy Tuesday, people!

Since yesterday was so nasty, I hope today’s pretty post will brighten your day a little bit! 🙂

Today is PART ONE of a four part Spring fashion collaboration with Arco Avenue! I’m really excited about all four of these posts… All looks (styled by Elish and Katie) are completely different, so it was really fun to get to shoot all of these back to back! It made for a super fun evening!

Let’s get onto the first look, which is festival-inspired! (Oh, how I love a good music festival!)

SECOND SKIN : TAKE ME HOME

Spring Fashion with Arco Avenue, Part 1: Festival Inspired // THE HIVE

Elish on this look:

“Next to shorts and a T-shirt, this is the type of clothing I feel most at home in. Maybe because it IS glorified shorts and T-shirt. I still have a little bit of my country girl roots, so any outfit that I can walk, stay cool, and, you know, climb a tree in is guaranteed to be what I am going to gravitate towards.

Even the clover patch is a reminder of home. Paired with deceptively comfortable boots and a cinched backback, I’m set. Take me home.”

Katie on this look:

“The back pack purse is right on trend this season, and thank goodness, with all these music festivals coming up!

And a white mani is the color trend this summer. There’s no better or easier way to add a pop to your outfit! Stacking rings are a trendy addition as well. Layer them up. Knuckle rings too. We can all get along here!”

Hangout Recap!

This past weekend, I got to spend some QT with three of my besties while chillin on the beach listening to lots and lots of amazing live music! It was pretty much an awesome weekend we spent at Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores.

One of the things I was MOST excited about was the clothes. (Well, second to the music, of course…) I was also pretty excited about having a good excuse for face paint for three straight days. Packing was a blast!

Were any of you at Hangout? I hope that if you were, you had as much fun as we did!!

Festival Fashion Obsession!

Now that Coachella is over, pictures of celebs donning some serious style while remaining totally festival chic are cropping up all over the place!

Although it’s not quite the same setting as Coachella, I do get to go to a music festival really soon!! Hangout Music Festival is the weekend of May 18th in Gulf Shores and I CAN. NOT. WAIT!

Now the real question is… What to wear?! With the {extremely slight} possibility of meeting Tom Petty, I must make sure my festival threads are up to par! Here are some of the photos guiding my wardrobe selection!

Definitely want to incorporate some cool face painting into the mix… This is cool for insipration!

Last but DEFINITELY not least, I’m finding a great deal of inspiration from the last look in the photo shoot / style collaboration Elish and I did with Blithe and Vine! In case you missed that post, be sure to check it out! Elish is rockin some festive style and I die for the head scarf!! ❤

Fashinsipration Collaboration with Blithe and Vine, Part 3

Today, I give you the third and final installment of our three part fashion collaboration with Blithe and Vine!

In case you missed part one or part two, be sure to check them out! 🙂

Part three is entitled Spring Fling. And with Coachella happening this weekend, the timing to debut this look couldn’t be more perfect!!! It’s so festival chic!!

PLUS, this is my favorite of the three looks for multiple reasons! So… Let’s get to it!

Elish on this look:

I have been secretly wanting to give the head wrap trend a go… because it definitely has been lingering summer after summer for several seasons now! It’s another great use for a light scarf, not to mention the best accessory for a bad hair day!

I got away using this top as a dress and added a killer beaded necklace for some interest. This look was so fun…I was ready to buy tickets to a music festival just to put it to good use. Oh and I swoon for this keyhole Kelly Wearstler Ring I’m sporting!

Liz on this look:

I loved styling this look with Elish! She looks like a chic hippie chick. Look out Coachella, here she comes!!!

But the great part is, each piece could be paired with different items in your closet for a completely unique look. Add the scarf & boots to basic white jeans & a tee and you’re looking fabulous for a casual day at the office, or Saturday lunch with the girls. And any piece of Kelly Wearstler jewelry adds instant edge to your look!

I had so much fun doing this shoot with Elish & Laurel, two gorgeous, smart & stylish women. Thanks ladies, and remember… #lifeisshortdresscute!!!

Feel free to leave a comment with what you thought about our collaboration!! Would you like to see more partnerships with other local boutiques?! I’m always open to hearing your wonderful input! 🙂

Have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND! And if you’re lucky enough to be at Coachella this weekend… I may or may not be really jealous of you… 😉

XO!
